Managers in a meeting room discussing neuroinclusive practice with a facilitator

Managers, supervisors & people leads

Training for managers

A practical, scenario-based workshop for the people who lead and support others, moving beyond awareness into confident, neuro-inclusive leadership.

At a glance

  • Half-day, three-hour workshop
  • Onsite and/or online
  • Designed for up to 20 participants
  • For managers, supervisors and team leads

This workshop goes beyond awareness into action, with depth for the people who lead, supervise or support others. It is practical, scenario-based and grounded in the real pressures of a busy workplace, using anonymised situations gathered during scoping so every example feels familiar.

What the workshop covers

  • How neurodivergent characteristics present across different roles, customer facing, admin, operational, leadership
  • Recognising early indicators that someone may be struggling: overload, communication challenges, performance dips, emotional strain
  • Having supportive conversations early and sensitively, reducing distress and preventing escalation
  • Tailoring reasonable adjustments across workload, communication, environment, scheduling, sensory needs and clarity of expectations
  • Understanding boundaries, when to escalate and when performance management is appropriate

Learning outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • Apply neuro-inclusive leadership in day-to-day situations
  • Respond confidently and without judgement when a colleague may be struggling
  • Understand the legal and policy framework, Equality Act, reasonable adjustments, health and safety
  • Foster psychological safety and trust within teams
  • Support staff wellbeing while maintaining service quality and operational standards
  • Put neuro-inclusive communication and team-working practices in place

How we design a programme

We listen before we write a single slide

  1. 01

    Scoping conversation

We start by understanding your organisation, workforce, working environments and what you want people to take away.

  2. 02

    Real scenarios gathered

We invite anonymised workplace scenarios so the session addresses the situations your people are actually encountering.

  3. 03

    Tailored delivery

Content, language and examples are adapted to your sector, including head office, remote, frontline and field-based teams.

  4. 04

    Next steps and follow-on

Sessions close with practical actions and a clear path forward, with optional follow-on sessions to embed the learning.
