About us

Rooted in the neurodivergent community

Neurodiversity UK is a specialist social enterprise helping businesses and organisations become more confident, capable and inclusive in how they support neurodivergent people.

Why we exist

We provide practical training, coaching, workplace needs assessments and consultancy to employers across the private, public and third sectors. Our work helps organisations move beyond awareness and create meaningful changes to everyday management, communication, workplace practices and culture.

Our approach combines professional expertise, lived experience and insight from the neurodivergent community. This allows us to provide support that is credible, relevant and grounded in the realities of modern workplaces.

How we support organisations

We start with your people, culture and priorities

Every organisation is different, so we take time to understand it before recommending an approach. Our work is practical and focused on action: building internal confidence, supporting individual employees effectively and creating environments where different ways of thinking and working are understood and valued.

  • Neurodiversity awareness and role-based training
  • Specialist training for managers, HR teams and senior leaders
  • Workplace needs assessments and reasonable adjustment guidance
  • Neurodiversity and ADHD coaching
  • Neurodiversity training for schools and education settings
  • Policy, process and communications reviews
  • Wider neuroinclusion consultancy and programme development

Where our story began

16 years in the community

Neurodiversity UK was founded by neurodiversity coach Jack Norwood, whose work within the neurodivergent community spans more than 16 years.

Jack's journey began with the Brighton ADHD Support Group, where people came together to share experiences, access support and feel less alone. He later founded ADHD Aware, helping it grow from a community group into a nationally recognised charity.

Through this work, Jack saw first-hand the difference that feeling understood and receiving the right support could make. He also saw the profound impact that the right support at work could have. When work becomes more sustainable, it can improve not only someone's working life, but also their wellbeing, confidence and sense of connection.

Neurodiversity UK grew from these experiences and from a belief that organisations make better decisions when they listen to the people their policies and practices affect.

Community insight shapes our work

Listening is central to who we are

Years of peer support

Running peer groups and community work has given us valuable insight into the barriers people experience and what effective support looks like in practice.

What does not work

Just as importantly, we have learned which approaches are less helpful or fail to address people's real needs.

Beyond assumptions

By listening to neurodivergent people, families and community groups, we move past one-size-fits-all solutions to approaches that make a genuine difference.

We are passionate about good practice and effective support. Our work combines professional knowledge, lived experience, community insight and evidence-informed practice to help organisations make informed decisions about how they support neurodivergent people.
